Again, it is too hot to handle. AC is having to work double time to keep a place cool. What are some other ways to keep your place cool? Three things that I do at night are bake, run the washer and dryer, and run the dishwasher.

Other ideas:

  • Close your window coverings during the day.

  • Run exhaust fans and/or ceiling fans if you have them.

  • Open windows at night.

  • Consider grilling dinner.

  • Place fans strategically to cool down the most-used rooms. — Lisa Milbrand, Real Simple

From my last post, keep yourself hydrated, wear light clothing, and stay in the shade as much as possible. And be thankful for AC invented in 1902 by William Carrier.
